This sleeping swan print is from a watercolour sold to a dear friend way back in the nineties.  I am slowly going through my old images to make prints, where I have them, and this one came to my mind because I just finished painting 'Seven Swans a-Swimming'. The original source photograph was taken by me in 1996 or thereabouts, at Abbotsbury Swannery in Dorset. On this same day I took the photograph for 'Boathouse on Chesil Bank', also long sold but in this set of prints. This print looks very pretty in its frame of distressed ivory white on wood, behind glass.
