This is a print of my first-ever mural, taken from the original two-metre-wide version painted on our bathroom wall. It is called Fair and False, because I started from an art nouveau illustration by Charles Robinson for a 1915 book of Shakespeare's sonnets, accompanying a sonnet of that name. But whereas Charles Robinson illustrated the girl lighting a fire as she "burn'd with love", I changed it so that she is pouring water from an urn into a pool, which makes better sense for a painting beside the bath! In case you are interested, I included a picture of the original mural in situ.
