A peaceful summer afternoon in the Buckinghamshire countryside. This original oil painting looks across the cricket ground at Wooburn Green towards the hazy woodland beyond. A mature tree dominates the foreground, casting its cool shadow across the sunlit grass, while several groundsmen are trying to restart the lawnmower in order to finish mowing the pitch. The distant trees, with the park angling up to them, create a  nostalgic sense of the English countryside. Painted in 1993, this is an original oil on canvas from an earlier period of my work, now available after more than 30 years.
