This is a mounted A3-sized print of an oil on canvas painting which began as a life drawing from a class that I used to attend in Henley. I still have the original life drawing somewhere, rendered in charcoal on paper. The model was stationary but had adopted a walking pose. Some time later I decided to paint him. I put him onto a beach, and added the moon and the grey top hat to hint at the crazy title which had popped into my head! I borrowed the beach from an old photograph, possibly St. Ives, so there was quite a lot of building up to get to this quirky painting. I hope it makes you smile.
