This oil painting captures a woman frozen in a gaze of pure captivation, looking toward something just beyond the frame. It is executed in thick oils with impasto paint so it has texture, using unusual colours and a deliberately unfinished look.  I blended natural skin tones with a vibrant palette of unexpected colours.
