Every year there used to be a classical concert at Cliveden, a National Trust house once owned by the Astors and infamous for the Profumo scandal. Hundreds of people picnicked in the Italian Gardens in front of the house. Some had long tables and sat there in evening dress, eating smoked salmon and sipping champagne. This hand-signed and mounted print of a large oil painting captures one of those evenings.
