Framed in wood painted gold

Domme is a city of stone built on top of the mountains. You discover it by visiting Rocamadour, driving for almost an hour along a winding road that twists and turns through mountain passes. This is the place to which pilgrims traveled, long ago. When you stand and look across the valley you can see Domme on the skyline, on top of the distant hills, and you are compelled to go there.
